Zach brings nearly two decades of non-profit leadership to White Oaks School Farm. He’s a founding board member and Executive Director of Spark-Y, a mission-driven non-profit that provides access and opportunity to youth through hands-on education, projects, and employment rooted in sustainability and entrepreneurship. Zach has been honored with numerous awards for his work, including the 2024 Community Impact Award from Twin Cities Business. He’s proud to be creating a living legacy of education, restoration and opportunity that will serve generations to come.

Farming and stewardship are deeply rooted in Emma’s DNA. She grew up going to her grandparents’ farm in Marengo, Iowa, an experience that shaped her passion for creating and growing gardens, always sprinkled with a handful of Iowa black gold, soil from her family’s farm. An expert in marketing, operations and development, Emma’s a founding board member and marketing consultant at Spark-Y. With White Oaks School Farm, she’s honored to continue her family’s farming tradition while creating new opportunities for farmers and restoring farming as a profitable and honorable profession.
